Itinerary 4 days tour in Berlin

Sunday

Arrive Berlin

On morning arrival, before transfer by coach to your hotel, enjoy a short tour of Berlin. You will visit the Berlin Wall (East Side Gallery), the historic centre in Unter den Linden, Brandenburg Gate, Jewish Holocaust Memorial. After check in, the afternoon is at leisure. This evening you may wish to join a walking tour in the vicinity of your hotel (depend on the location of your hotel).

Monday

Berlin, full day

A walking tour at the former Jewish Quarter, the New Synagogue, Bebelplatz- Site of Nazi book burning, Gendarmenmarkt, Museum Island and a visit at the Pergamon Museum, The memorial at the Grunewald train station (platform 17) in west Berlin.

Tuesday

Potsdam/Berlin, full day

This morning we will drive through Grunewald forest in Berlin to Potsdam, the capital of Brndenburg; after walking over Glienecke Bridge, a checkpoint of exchanges of spies during the Cold War, we enter the city of Potsdam. The highlights in Potsdam: The Sanssouci Palace and its gardens; Cecilienhof Palace in which the Potsdam Conference took place July 17 1945; The Old City with the pedestrian zone, Dutch Quarter. On the way back we will visit the Wannsee Villa where at the conference in January 1942 a decision to coordinate and implement the “final solution” was taken.

This evening you may wish to join an optional visit at he theatre in Friedrich Str.

Wednesday

Berlin, full day; or Dresden, long full day

The remaining sites in Berlin would be: Checkpoint Charlie, Ruins of Gestapo and SS Headquarters, Reichstag Parliament, The Soviet Memorial at Treptow, the Jewish Museum and more; time at leisure.

If you decide to go for Dresden, we may be able to squeeze one of the Wednesday sites into the itinerary of the early days.
